Dr Hembry offers low dose desensitisation for the treatment of allergy and hypersensitivity problems. The specific method she uses is called 'Low Dose Allergen' drshrader.com/lda_therapy.htm.

LDA is based on the original 'Enzyme Potentiated Desensitisation' method which was developed in the 1960s by Dr Len McEwen in the UK.

While conventional incremental immunotherapy remains the most appropriate treatment for individual severe allergies such as those to peanuts and wasp and bee stings, LDA can be helpful for people with multiple sensitivities (food, inhalants and chemicals) for whom no other method of treatment is currently available other than attempts at symptom suppression. LDA is also popular for hayfever sufferers.

Dr Hembry also facilitates dietary exclusion and diagnostic tests for allergy and intolerance where appropriate. She also tests for and treats gut dysbiosis.
